Do my photos leave my phone?
No. Duplicate detection, blur detection, reading the text in screenshots — everything runs on your device. CleanSight has no photo server and no account. Only anonymous usage and crash diagnostics are sent, plus your purchase receipt — never a photo.
Does deleting actually free space?
Not immediately, on any app. iOS keeps deleted photos in Recently Deleted for 30 days. CleanSight reports "moved to Recently Deleted" honestly and shows you how to empty it in Photos when you're ready.
What about photos in iCloud?
With "Optimize iPhone Storage" on, many originals live in iCloud with only a preview on the phone. CleanSight marks every one with a ☁︎ so you know: deleting removes it from iCloud too, and playing or compressing it needs a download first — which the app does for you, with progress.
Can it delete something I wanted?
Not without you. Every group is reviewed, every batch is confirmed, and there's an undo. Apple keeps a 30-day safety net on top.
